Seoni City is located about 90 kilometres north west of Guwahati. Seoni is one of the famous city in assam. The Seoni Satra and various other Satras scattered around the district attract devotees from every nook and corner of Assam.

Geography Seoni:-

Seoni is located at 26.32°N 91.0°E. Two rivers - Saolkhowa and Mora Nodi (Dead River), both of whoch are tributaries to Brahmaputra run through the town.As of 2001 India census Seoni had a population of 41,175. Males constitute 50% of the population and females 50%.
